if you use the STL file to build the tinyjoypad only for attiny85, it is not compulsory to use the pre-drilling for the D1 mini lite esp8285. 

You can build the circuit directly inside.

Otherwise, for more compatibility it is possible to build the version with D1 mini lite esp8285 and build yourself a conversion plate for attiny85 which plugs directly into the pre-drilling of the D1 mini lite!
